the one tonight “American Greed” (9 p.m., CNBC), the 200th episode of the series, focuses on Elizabeth Holmes, the former CEO of blood testing startup Theranos, who was briefly the darling of Silicon Valley and venture capital before it was revealed that the technology was not actually working.

Before his fall, Holmes started a story that attracted powerful sponsors and investors. Bold names associated with Holmes and his company included former Secretaries of State George Schultz and Henry Kissinger, former Education Secretary Betsy DeVos, former President Bill Clinton and media mogul Rupert Murdoch.

Holmes was convicted of fraud last week.
