GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) – Vintage toys might be somewhere in your house, but if people are looking to get rid of them, a new TV show is buying them.

America’s Toy Scout Joel Magee, who is also the Disney expert in Pawn Stars Season 16, is traveling the country to buy old toys for a show to air next year.

“We actually produced our first episode, so my co-star is Butch Patrick who played Eddie Munster in the Munsters,” Magee told Local4 News.

On Thursday he was at the Ramada Inn on Grand Island to continue his quest and there were dozens of people showing up to sell their old toys. Lance Buoy has come all the way from Kearney to see how much his grandfather’s toys were worth.

“I think he made a great offer on some of the things we had here and we sold some of it, so come dig in your attic and get out,” Buoy said.

Magee only wants toys from the ’80s or older to bring a nostalgic spectacle to people looking to relive their childhood.

“An antique is not an antique until it is old enough,” Magee said. “In the 90s, the people who played with these toys were still in their twenties and thirties. It’s when people hit their 40s when they start wanting to get all of their toys back that they had when they were kids.

Magee was at the Ramada Inn until 5pm but don’t worry if you missed him as you can contact him on the show’s website to donate your old toys.
