‘Gale – Stay Away from OZ’ Trailer Puts a Twisted Twist on ‘The Wizard of Oz’ Horror Film


Travis Stevens (Jacob’s wife) is back this year with a brand new horror movie A wounded fawnand we learned that the Original Shudder will premiere on December 1, 2022.

The feature premiered at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival to great acclaim, then screened at FrightFest London and Fantastic Fest.

Inspired by surrealist art and Greek mythology, A wounded fawn follows the story of Meredith Tanning (Sarah Lind, Jacob’s wife), a local museum curator who dips her toe back into the dating pool, only to be the target of a charming serial killer (Josh Ruben, Scare me, werewolves inside). When a fateful romantic getaway between the two becomes a tense game of cat and mouse, the two must confront the madness within him.

A wounded fawn marks the third feature film directed by Stevens, who has long been celebrated for his work as an independent producer with credits that include award-winning films such as Adam Wingard A horrible way to dieby Frank Pavitch Jodorowsky DuneEL Katz Cheap feelingsby Ted Geoghegan We are always here and Sarah Adina Smith Buster’s Evil Heart.

Co-written by Travis Stevens and Nathan Faudreethe film Shudder Original also stars Malin Barr (The beta test, Honeydew) and is produced by Stevens, Joe Barbagallovia its Barbhouse shingle, and laurence gendronvia Genco Pictures. Ksusha Genenfeld served as director of photography, with the film’s score credited to composer and sound designer Vaal.
