Following a school shooting in Texas on Tuesday that left 18 children and three adults dead, the CBS crime drama FBI decided to withdraw its season finale, according to Deadline. The finale, titled “Prodigal Son”, dealt with the team preventing a shooting at a school.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced on Tuesday that an armed teenager opened fire at an elementary school in Uvalde, west of San Antonio, Texas. the FBI episode centered on a murderous robbery that “collected a cache of automatic weapons for the killers”. The team eventually discovered that one of the killers was a classmate of Jubal Valentine (Jeremy Sisto, clueless) son.
In place of the episode, the network will rerun the 12th episode of the season, which aired in February. However, the show’s fallout, FBI: Most Wanted and FBI: internationalwill air their season finales as scheduled.
FBI revolves around a New York office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, in which a group of agents investigate criminal cases in the state and across the country. It stars Zeeko Zaki (The divergent series), Missy Peregrym (paste it), Katherine Renée Turner (Ward 11), Ebonee Christmas (The Kings of Napa) and John Boyd (Bones).
