Disney film and television studios including Marvel Studios, Lucasfilm, Walt Disney Studios, Pixar and Walt Disney Animation Studios, 20th Century Studios and Disney Branded Television revealed plenty of news at the D23 Expo, which took place September 9-11 in Anaheim, near Disneyland. Highlights included cast and creative-laden panels behind almost every major Disney property, giving fans new looks at everything from Indiana Jones 5 at Disillusionedand Black Panther: wakanda forever at The little Mermaid. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania: Crowds saw new footage of the trio featuring Paul Rudd, Kathryn Newton, Evangeline Lilly and Jonathan Majors. It opens February 17 in theaters.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever: Crowds were thrilled with footage from the MCU sequel starring Angela Bassett as Ramonda. It opens November 11 in theaters.

Captain America: New World Order: Shira Haas and Tim Blake Nelson have joined the cast of the sequel along with Anthony Mackie. It hits theaters on May 3, 2024.

The Fantastic Four: Kevin Feige has confirmed that Matt Shakman will direct the reboot pic which hits theaters on November 8, 2024.

Love at first sight : Multiple castings have been announced for the Jake Schreier-directed film which will close out MCU Phase 5 on July 26, 2024. They include David Harbour, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Wyatt Russell, Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan, Hannah John-Kamen, and Olga Kurylenko .

Indiana Jones 5: A trailer was shown to the crowd for the fifth installment in the lucrative 41-year-old franchise. Star Harrison Ford addressed the room and also revealed that this would be his last time playing America’s favorite archaeologist. “I’m done,” he said. “I won’t fall for you anymore.”

Willow: A new trailer for the reimagining of the 1988 fantasy classic has been shown, and Christian Slater has been revealed as a cast member. He joins an ensemble that includes Warwick Davis, Joanne Whalley, Ruby Cruz, Erin Kellyman, Ellie Bamber, Dempsey Bryk, Amar Chadha-Patel and Tony Revolori.

20th century

Avatar: The Way of the Water: The crowd was treated to a slew of footage from James Cameron’s long-running sequel to one of the highest-grossing films of all time.

Mufasa: The Lion King: The title of the prequel was announced and a preview was shown in the room. It will be released in 2024.

The little Mermaid: New teaser trailer unveiled. The release date is summer 2023.

Hocus Pocus 2: New trailer revealed for the sequel which will stream exclusively on Disney+ from September 30.

Disillusioned: First trailer for the sequel which will stream exclusively on Disney+ from November 24th.

Peter Pan and Wendy: Coming to Disney+ in 2023.

ANIMATION FILM

Theatrical

Elementary: The main cast has been revealed, and the Pixar film’s release date is set for June 16.

Elio: The new Pixar feature about 11-year-old dreamer Elio (Yonas Kibreab) will also star America Ferrera. Adrian Molina is director and Mary Alice Drumm is producer. The parcel: Elio is artistic, creative and a passionate INdoorsman who struggles to fit in. Meanwhile, Mom Olga, who runs a top-secret military project, works to decode a strange signal from space. But it’s Elio who makes contact, is teleported into space, and is then mistaken for an intergalactic ambassador for Earth. It will be released in the spring of 2024.

Upside down 2: Pixar sequel confirmed with return of Amy Poehler. Expected summer 2024 release.

Strange world: New trailer released for Disney Animation’s feature film. Released in theaters November 23.

To wish: Walt Disney Animation Studio’s next original feature film is revealed, as is its fall 2023 release. Directors Chris Buck and Fawn Veerasunthorn described the story, which takes place in Rosas, the kingdom of wishes where wishes can literally happen. It centers on 17-year-old Asha (Ariana DeBose), who makes an impassioned plea to the stars, which is answered by a cosmic force, a small ball of limitless energy called Star. Together, they face the most formidable of foes to save their community and prove that when a brave human’s will connects with the magic of the stars, wonderful things can happen. Alan Tudyk will voice a goat named Valentino. Julia Michaels writes all the songs. The film is written by Jennifer Lee; Peter Del Vecho produces and Juan Pablo Reyes co-produces.

Stone heart: Shakira Barrera joins the cast of the Disney+ series with Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams. The premiere date is TBA.

Secret Invasion: Full trailer for the Disney+ series starring Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury due out in 2023.

Armor Wars: Don Cheadle reprises his role as Colonel James Rhodes in a standalone series that will show the character in a whole new light. The premiere date is TBA.

Loki: Ke Huy Quan joins the cast of season 2 of the Disney+ series with Tom Hiddleston, Owen Wilson and Sophia Di Martino. Production is ongoing, but the premiere date is TBA.

Echo: Cast members Alaqua Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio, Devery Jacobs, Graham Greene, Cody Lightning and Chaske Spencer hosted a special look at the upcoming series which also stars Tantoo Cardinal and Zahn McClarnon. The premiere date is TBA.

Daredevil: Born Again: Kevin Feige and co-star Vincent D’Onofrio discussed the upcoming Disney+ series were eager to discuss the new Disney+ series starring Charlie Cox. Production will begin in 2023.

Night Werewolf: The Halloween-themed program starring Gael Garcia Bernal and Laura Donnelly – Marvel Studios’ first TV special – has been revealed, along with a trailer and an October 7 premiere date on Disney+.

Andor: The final trailer for the Disney+ series starring Pedro Pascal has been released. The star wars The out-of-universe drama premieres September 21 on Disney+.

The Mandalorian: A trailer for season 3 of the Disney+ series with Pedro Pascal has been released.

Star Wars: The Bad Batch: Disney+ Season 2 star wars The universe’s animated series about the Bad Batch’s experimental elite and clones has been pushed back from September 28 to January 4.

Tales of the Jedi: The abridged anime anthology series set in the star wars the universe has revealed the first trailer and a premiere date of October 26.

Chinese born American: First look at the original series from Disney Branded Television and 20th Television. To be published in 2023.

big hat: Season 2 episodes of the Disney Branded Television and ABC Signature series starring John Stamos will air on October 12.

Iwaju: An all-new long-running original series created in collaboration with pan-African comics entertainment company Kugali will air in 2023. Kugali filmmakers Olufikayo Ziki Adeola, Hamid Ibrahim and Tolu Olowofoyeku introduced the series setting: a letter love in Lagos, Nigeria.

The chaos of the Muppets: The comedy series from Disney Branded Television and ABC Signature will hit the streamer in 2023.

National Treasure: On the Edge of History: Trailer released for Disney Branded Television and ABC Signature Original Series premiering with two episodes on December 14.

Prom Pact: First look at the new movie from Disney Branded Television.

The Proud Family: Stronger and Prouder: Season 2 begins in February. New trailer posted.

Santa Clauses: First teaser released for the original series starring Tim Allen, from Disney Branded Television and 20th Television. It begins on November 16.

Win or lose: Pixar’s first-ever long-running series has announced that Will Forte will be joining the voice cast. Broadcasting on Disney+ in fall 2023.

Zootopia+: New trailer presented for the short series. Launching on Disney+ on November 9.

New Unscripted Holiday Specials

Best in snow: Hosted by Tituss Burgess, featuring teams from around the world transported to a magical snowy village, Snowdome, and thrown into a spirited competition to compete for the title of Best in Snow. No premiere date set.

Pentatonix: Around the world for the holidays: Superstar a cappella band Pentatonix are struggling to find inspiration for their annual holiday album, and time is running out. No premiere date set.

Hip Hop Nutcracker: Run-DMC’s Rev Run takes us on a hip-hop reimagining of the Nutcracker ballet set in New York City. No premiere date set.

Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur from Marvel: First trailer unveiled for the Disney Television Animation series, which revealed it had added Alison Brie to the guest voice cast. Debuts February 10 and later on Disney+.

Under Wraps 2: The sequel from Disney Branded Television and MarVista Entertainment premieres September 25 (streaming on Disney+ September 30).

Star Wars: The Adventures of the Young Jedi: Jamaal Avery Jr. and Emma Berman have joined the cast of the Lucasfilm animated series which will be released in 2023.
