Warning! This list contains major spoilers for the MCU Halloween Special, Werewolf at night.

Marvel fans were thrilled with the first Halloween special, night werewolf, with its ode to classic monster movies and unexpected gore, but, more importantly, they instantly took a liking to the titular character’s friend, Man-Thing. As Jack Russell calls him Ted, Man-Thing became the highlight of the special, as a charming and friendly monster caught in the bounty hunters’ pursuit to claim the Bloodstone Jewel.

VIDEO OF THE DAY

Considering his appearance was short, fans are eager to see more of the Man-Thing, whether on Disney+ or the big screen, and it’s likely possible since Ted found his freedom and survived the hunt. in the special. With the rest of the MCU focused on the Multiverse, Man-Thing could have a bigger role in possible future TV specials or other supernatural-related series, where his powers are vital against evil entities.

His own special Halloween or Disney+ show

If one thing is certain continued night werewolf, Man-Thing deserves his own Halloween special. In fact, he was such an interesting character that he could even do well with his own Disney+ series. Ted’s origin from a scientist wishing to recreate the super soldier serum to a mysterious creature of vine and moss must be explored in full.

Logically, Man-Thing would be the next Halloween special, and it could also be a great way to introduce other important monsters, like Manphibian, Frankenstein’s Monster, and/or N’Kantu, the Living Mummy, to name a few. some. His mutual ally, Jennifer Kale, could also feature, and it could help Man-Thing become a popular character with casual MCU fans.

Loki Season 2

Man-Thing can play an important role in the unfolding of multiversal stories, which could lead to him playing a role in Lokithe future. When the first trailer for night werewolf was released, many believed the security guards to be Time Variance Authority agents, and while this was unconfirmed, their costume was a strong and deliberate choice.

This simple fact could somehow link night werewolf and Loki together. Although Man-Thing probably won’t play a major role in the upcoming second season, which is currently slated for summer 2023, he could appear in a cameo or as a background Easter egg.

Agatha: Chaos Coven

Now that Werewolf, Elsa Bloodstone, and Man-Thing are here, more supernatural heroes are waiting to join the MCU. A good place for all is Agatha: Chaos Coven. This series will further explore the magical side of the MCU, which could help bring Man-Thing back into the fray.

He doesn’t cast magic like Agatha, Doctor Strange, or Scarlet Witch, but his powers are powerful. Specifically, anyone he touches and feels fear is corroded – like how he killed Jovan and Verussa in night werewolf. Therefore, if Agatha: Chaos Coven plays horror or brings in villains like Mephisto or Nightmare, Man-Thing might have a role to play.

Love at first sight

At D23, fans were finally treated to the Thunderbolts roster in the MCU, consisting of Yelena Belova, Winter Soldier, US Agent, Red Guardian, Ghost, and Taskmaster. More could still appear, especially if the theories are true that there are two teams – one heroic and one villainous. Man-Thing is a member of the Thunderbolts for a while in the comics, so maybe he’s incorporated into Love at first sight.

It’s a bit of a stretch, but if the Countess or Baron Zemo discover a mystical and incredibly powerful swamp monster in the wild, they’ll either want to find a way to quell the beast or take control of it. As such, there’s a case to be made for the Man-Thing to be in Love at first sight.

Avengers: Kang Dynasty

A strong and sure bet for the future of Man-Thing in the MCU is that he appears in Avengers: Kang Dynasty. As Avengers: Infinity War, this will likely bring together all the major heroes of the MCU, and Man-Thing should be included in this group. Interestingly, it may not be as many would initially suspect. There is no indication in night werewolf that it takes place in the main continuity, so Avengers: Kang Dynasty could very well follow characters to different Earths.

Man-Thing, Werewolf by Night, Elsa Bloodstone and the other monsters could be inhabitants of a different universe from Spider-Man, Doctor Strange and She-Hulk. This could mean they have to fight one of Kang’s variants, of which there are many. Either way, fans will have to wait until 2025 to find out for sure.

Avengers: Secret Wars

Next Avengers: Kang DynastyMan-Thing should appear next in Avengers: Secret Wars. This is where his full multiversal connections could come to fruition. In the comics, Man-Thing is more than meets the eye. He is also the guardian of the mysterious Nexus of All Realities, an extradimensional gateway connecting everything across reality, time, and space.

That alone would put a target on his back should Kang the Conqueror or various other villains find out. Also, if it turns out he’s not from Earth-616, it won’t matter at the time of Avengers: Secret Wars, because presumably all the universes will be united like in the comics.

doctor strange 3

Fans are still waiting to find out which projects will still fill the empty Phase Six slots. There are several movies and TV shows that Man-Thing could play a role in, like doctor strange 3. The end of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness directly edits a third film which will lead to Avengers: Secret Warsso that seems like a likely possibility.

If Man-Thing is from Earth-616, he could be incorporated into doctor strange 3 and help him thwart incursions threatening their reality. It would certainly be a welcome sight to see the Man-Thing go from TV to the big screen, and this could be a good place for that to happen.

scarlet witch

The word Nexus is not only related to Man-Thing, but also to another incredibly powerful and magical character, Scarlet Witch. In the MCU, she is a Nexus being with the ability to drastically reshape the reality of her universe. Although she presumably died in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which may still be up for debate, many fans agree that it is a long hobby for a scarlet witch film.

It could also be one of the missing Phase Six films, and in addition to calling her back in action, it could explore her connection to Nexus events and possibly Man-Thing. Ultimately, the two could be hugely important to Kang’s plans and unite the universes together for Avengers: Secret Wars.

Son of Midnight / Legion of Monsters

night werewolf is just the latest project giving hope for a future Midnight Sons movie in the MCU, with moon knight, Bladeand the strange doctor movies. Man-Thing is a common member of this team in the comics, so it would make sense for him to potentially join the MCU version. However, either alternatively or additionally, he could also be part of a Legion of Monsters team.

If future Halloween specials introduce new monsters like Vampire by Night, Manphibian, or Shiklah, their stories could culminate in a Legion of Monsters special, or better yet, a Disney+ miniseries. Either way, a Midnight Sons or Legion of Monsters project would likely take a while to come together, so they might be something to look forward to after the multiverse saga ends.

The Incredible Hulk 2

This one is definitely over the top, but the Man-Thing could be made to appear in whatever Hulk awaits. He was last seen in the second episode of She-Hulk: Lawyer fly to Sakaar, leading to theories that he interacted with his son, Skaar. And Man-Thing has a connection to this planet and the Grandmaster Contest of Champions in the MCU.

It was probably nothing more than an easter egg, teasing a new character, but Man-Thing was established as a former champion on Sakaar in Thor: Ragnarok – with Ares, Beta Ray Bill, Bi-Beast and Dark-Crawler. This could mean the Hulk defeated Man-Thing to become the Champion, and while highly unlikely, he could somehow return for the much-desired sequel. The Incredible Hulk.
